The HAIX brand was created by Xaver Haimerl over 70 years ago. The Bavarian company quickly built a strong reputation for quality hiking and work shoes.
Edwal Haimerl, son of Xaver Haimerl, is a master shoemaker in his father's company, but also a firefighter near Mainburg. Ewald hated the rubber boots he wore during his firefighting duties, so he decided to take matters into his own hands and develop completely new boots made of leather.
From a local shoemaking company, HAIX has become a global player in protective equipment and more specifically protective footwear.
With its innovation, firefighter boots are a huge success. From 1999, HAIX produces more than 100,000 pairs of shoes per year.
Today, the company is one of the most innovative and successful high-tech shoe manufacturers in the world.
