Description
The TEXAS El-Tex 1800 is a very powerful electric tiller that simply needs to be plugged into a power socket to start. Weighing only 31 kg, it is lighter than most petrol tillers, making it easier to use and handle. The El-Tex 1800 has a single forward gear and its low weight allows you to easily lift it if it sinks into the ground.
With a motor power of 1,800 W, it drives 24 tines spread over six tine sets at up to 125 rpm. By removing one or more tine sets, you can adjust its working width from 28 cm to 40 cm and up to 60 cm, making the TEXAS El-Tex 1800 a versatile electric tiller that rivals many petrol models in size. With a working depth of up to 26 cm, it is exceptionally powerful.

The El-Tex 1800 comes with a combined depth skid and transport wheel, which can be flipped depending on whether you are tilling or transporting. The transport wheels are sturdy and rear-mounted, allowing you to lower the fixed handlebar and roll the tiller easily.
Maintenance is minimal with an electric tiller like the El-Tex 1800, and it is very user-friendly, requiring only the activation of the safety switch and the clutch handle to start. Side guards are included to prevent soil from being thrown during operation.
With its low weight, the El-Tex 1800 is particularly suitable if you need a lightweight tiller or if you simply prefer a lighter machine for easier handling. Reducing the working width also makes it convenient for use in narrow spaces between closely spaced shrubs.

5 tips for tilling
1 | Ensure the soil is not too wet when tilling, as this would only create large clumps of soil.
2 | Till the soil sufficiently, but not too much. Soil clumps should be about the size of a walnut and at least the size of a pea, providing ideal porosity for plants.
3 | You can till in dry and hard soil, but this may require going over the soil twice.
4 | Check the weather forecast; if frost is expected, wait before tilling.
5 | Use safety equipment, as a tiller is a powerful machine and in case of an accident, it's better to be properly protected.
