Description
The TX602B is one of TEXAS's top-of-the-range tiller models, equipped with a powerful Briggs & Stratton petrol engine and a dedicated reverse gear thanks to the unique dual-shaft gearbox system. With two drive shafts – one for forward and one for reverse – you get a more durable reverse gear that reduces gear wear compared to single-shaft tillers. This tiller is designed to withstand hours of work, allowing you to cultivate even the largest vegetable gardens.
The TX602B's working width can be adjusted to three options: with only the inner blades installed, the width is 30 cm; adding additional blade sets increases the width up to 55 cm and up to 85 cm. The powerful tiller also features an adjustable handlebar, both vertically and horizontally. This allows you to rotate the handlebar so that when working near fences, hedges or walls, the handle doesn't scrape and the blades can till right up to the edge. The TX602B is powered by a 208 cc engine from American manufacturer Briggs & Stratton, offering solid performance with two speeds, one forward and one reverse, making it easy to manoeuvre during use. The TX series operates at 110 rpm blade speed, which is lower than the Lilli series, offering a smoother working experience that makes the tiller easier to control.
Built on a robust chassis and weighing 58.5 kg, this sturdy machine is very stable during operation. The reverse gear further improves manoeuvrability, allowing you to free the tiller if it digs into the ground. The TX602B also features wide guards, ensuring the blades remain covered even at half width.
The handlebar can be both turned and height-adjusted, allowing you to work close to walls or other obstacles without scraping. The ergonomic grips on the handlebar offer a comfortable experience, and with the integrated throttle control and forward/reverse functions, the tiller is easy to use. The TX602B also has a bumper that doubles as a lifting handle.
It is equipped with depth skids and transport wheels, which can be easily operated with a foot pedal to raise and lower them. The sturdy rear-mounted transport wheels make it easy to move the tiller by tilting the handlebar.

TEXAS recommends using 98/100 unleaded petrol (also called E5) for all our petrol engines, even if the manual specifies 95 unleaded petrol (E10).
This recommendation is due to changes since 1st January 2020, when 95 unleaded petrol (E10) started containing 10% bioethanol instead of the previous 5%. The increased bioethanol content attracts condensation/water over time and shortens the fuel's shelf life, which can lead to poorer combustion and starting problems.
5 tips for tilling
1 | Ensure the soil isn't too wet when tilling, as this would only create large clumps of earth.
2 | Till the soil sufficiently, but not too much. Soil clumps should be roughly the size of a walnut and at least the size of a pea, providing ideal porosity for plants.
3 | You can till in dry and hard soil, but this may require going over the soil twice.
4 | Check the weather forecast; if frost is expected, wait before tilling.
5 | Use safety equipment, as a tiller is a powerful machine and in case of an accident, it's better to be properly protected.
