Description
The XC140-98H is a robust and user-friendly TEXAS lawn tractor, remarkably easy to use thanks to its hydrostatic transmission that allows smooth speed adjustments. With a turning radius of only 45 cm, it maneuvers effortlessly, even on small lawns. Equipped with a powerful 432 cc engine, sturdy chassis, and 98 cm cutting width, this lawn tractor is also suitable for large properties.
Starting is simple with e-start; just turn the key in the ignition and you're ready to work. The twin blades located under the steel cutting deck allow both side discharge and mulching, with adjustable cutting height between 30 and 90 mm. With a hook at the rear, you can attach other accessories, making this lawn tractor a versatile tool for many years of gardening work.
How it cuts
The TEXAS XC140-98H lawn tractor is excellent for comfortably mowing grass in a medium-sized garden, but it truly shines on large plots. The powerful engine delivers 8.0 kW, providing enough power to efficiently cut grass, even when it's tall, over large areas.
With central height adjustment, you can choose from seven cutting heights ranging from 30 mm for a well-maintained residential lawn up to 90 mm for taller grass on recreational grounds. The twin blades located under the 98 cm steel cutting deck provide a cleaner and more uniform cut than a single blade.
The XC140-98H comes standard with side discharge, particularly useful for handling tall grass. It also includes a mulching plug, allowing you to mulch and leave the cut grass on the lawn, which is particularly beneficial for frequently mowed ornamental lawns.
For safety reasons, this model does not allow mowing in reverse, and the engine will stop if attempted.
Practical details
The XC140-98H is equipped with a Hydro-Gear hydrostatic transmission from the United States, offering a smooth and continuous pedal for forward and reverse, functioning somewhat like an automatic transmission. This setup makes it much easier to adjust your speed up to 8.8 km/h, particularly when maneuvering around obstacles or using additional accessories. With an internal turning radius of just 45 cm, this lawn mower tractor is highly maneuverable.
The front wheels measure 15" and the rear wheels 18", all fitted with air-filled rubber tires with deep treads for excellent traction. Their wide profile is also gentle on the lawn.
Thanks to the integrated washing nozzle on the cutting deck, cleaning is simple: just connect a garden hose and start the engine. The blades then rinse the deck of most grass clippings after mowing.
At the front, you'll find a practical bumper for protection and a set of headlights so you can see where you're going if working during darker hours. And thanks to the electronic key-start function, starting the XC140-98H is always simple.

It also includes several user-friendly details that make mowing more comfortable. You'll get an adjustable driver's seat with a high backrest for added comfort during long rides, and all control levers are within easy reach when seated.
Additionally, there are two practical compartments next to the seat: a drink holder and a storage compartment for items like keys, phone, or snacks. With a large 7.5 L fuel tank, you can keep mowing for a long time before needing to stop.

The garden tractor comes in a wooden protective frame that must be detached and the top part lifted over the machine. Due to the weight and size of the frame, we recommend two people for this task.
